Paula Faris

Paula Faris, an American journalist, worked previously as a television correspondent at ABC News. She is most famous for her role as co-host of Good Morning America Weekend, 2014-2018, as well as host of The View, 2015-2018. Prior to this, she hosted World News Now as well as America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She worked in radio sales, because of the limited opportunities for television. After a year of working as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT she was able to report and anchor occasionally. From 2002 until 2005, she was the sports anchor for weekends and weekday sports anchor at the WCPO-TV station in Cincinnati. Following the expiration of her contract and she became a anchor and sports reporter for the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago from November 2005 until December 2011. In December 2011 the news was released that she has been hired by ABC's news division, ABC News. She made her debut for ABC News on World News Now and America This Morning on January 2 2012. She was a correspondent and fill-in for Good Morning America during this time. Later, she was promoted to New York-based correspondent for all ABC News programs. However, she was not able to finish the final episode of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January 22 in 2013. She debuted on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor, August 9, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. Her contract was renewed by ABC for the 20th season on August 3. Season 21 also got renewed thanks to the co-hosting role. She was the most prominent during the 21st and 22nd seasons on the series.
