Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a producer, actor, actor, and musician who has directed many episodes of TV that include The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) among others. She was also the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently attached to two pilots that are in production. Milena was among eight women chosen by AFI for their highly regarded Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her short film and television series proof of concept, was premiered at SXSW. The film also won Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) is screened across the country and won Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared on more than 100 episodes of television as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. Then she became the first and only female detective on Law & Order (1990). She has also been featured or recurred on numerous other showslike K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and in the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has appeared in numerous movies, including Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) which starred alongside Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian in her high-school, but before that, she graduated with a double major vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Soon after she took advantage of her classical ballet training to perform on Broadway in the production of Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall of "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
