Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actress, known for her performances on the daytime network, occasional guest appearances, and made-for-television films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General Hospital. Since 2013, she's played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family later relocated to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She then moved together with her father David Sofer, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania as a child. The family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi at synagogue Temple Beth El. After graduation from North Bergen High School she went to Montclair State College. Sofer began her career as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as a band manager. But her first big-name role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91). One of her most well-known roles is Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of September 1993 to September 24, 1996. Later, she was guest actor (February 7-17 the month of September, 1997; September 30 - October 2, 1997). Sofer was presented with an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Lois. In May 2013, it was announced that Sofer would join the CBS soap series The Bold and the Beautiful, in a newly created role as Quinn Fuller; her first episode aired on July 12. Sofer has been a guest actor/supporting cast member in a number of top-rated primetime TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. The first episode of her debut aired on July 12.
