Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz is a Canadian actress. Most well-known is her roles in ABC Family's Kyle XY as Andy Jensen and Syfy's Caprica science fiction drama as Lacy Rand. Emily Hartwell, a science fiction actress, was born Maya Hartwell. She also appeared in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is from Polish origin and lived for one time in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived there along with her uncle. She also attended an institution in Jelenia Gora. She went on to attend Vancouver Film School. She began her interest in acting at the age of 10 after her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction. In 2002, she began her first appearances on the TV series Jeremiah. She was also a guest on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008 she starred in the Hallmark Channel original movie Every Second Counts.In 2009, Apanowicz was cast as Lacy Rand who was a regular on the TV drama Caprica along with Eric Stoltz and Alessandra Torresani. The actress later appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared in the role of Emily in Jane Espenson's second series of her romantic comedy web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the part of Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. While it was shot in 2012, The Green Inferno was international released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. The film was released in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Sandy on the second season of the Netflix thriller You.
