Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli-American actress and singer was born on Oct. 20, 1983 in Herzliya, Israel. Her career began when she was in the Israeli Defense Forces. Her breakthrough came in 2003 , when she was the lead in an Israeli film. She also starred in two television series in the country, and was also a musician and recorded a number of songs along with Israeli rapper Subliminal. Tal was able to move the city of New York with her sister. She collaborated with Wyclefjean, who is a Haitian artist in the hit song "Party to Damascus". She also was able to establish herself in American television, starting by playing a recurring character in the show Veronica Mars: She originally tried out for the lead role however the creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character just for her. Tal then was able to secure a regular role in the short-lived CBS series. Participated in two TV shows in Israel before changing to New York. Recorded a song in collaboration with singer Wyclef Jean. Hebrew is her mother tongue. She was second in the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas liked her so much that he made the character of Meg Manning specifically for her. Served in The Israel Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish Her father is a Turkish/Jewish man and her mother is Polish/Jewish. The actress plays Adrian Monk's daughter in the final episode. Her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish.
